Swimming is obviously a good exercise for the body and the musician is trying to teach his son one of the ways to relax and keep fit.

Popular Nigerian comedian Basketmouth was arrested in London for hitting a young man.


The thing is, the cops spotted him hitting a man and came to find out what was happening and Basketmouth had to explain to them that for you to get free ticket to his show, he had to slap you first. Can you believe that?

Lights, Camera, Action! Nigeria’s TV cooking competition, Knorr Taste Quest is back with its 2nd Season tagged “Hot Just Got Hotter”.

The show had its launch on Friday 17th January 2014 at the Eko Hotel & Suites with an exclusive screening party. The evening started networking/cocktail session after which guests were ushered into the hall where they enjoyed entertaining games, musical performances by KCee & Harry Song and and the unveiling of the contestants and judges for the 2nd season.

D’banj to Premiere “Half of a Yellow Sun” Movie Soundtrack Song & Video on Monday

D’banj‘s recorded the official soundtrack for the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s “Half of a Yellow Sun” and it will premiere soon.
A rep for the music superstar reveals to Gizoe Global World that the song and video of Bother You will be released on Monday 20th January 2014 by 6PM.
Bother You is a love song inspired by the love story of the movie. The music video was shot in South Africa and produced by Godfather Productions and DKM Media. The music video features footage taken from the movie.

Veteran actress & mother of star director Clarence Peters spoke to Vanguard about her disappointment with today's Nollywood

"It hasn’t improved at all. It is now a proverbial ‘ state’ that makes one to weep. Everything has fallen to a disgraceful state. No standards are left. I was on a location in Enugu last month and the production manager was insulting the director of photographer. I was shocked.
The producer and the director were shouting at each other. I could not imagine it. The artistic director would just walk away and actors are not directed on what to do.  Any green horn could hit the set and believe that she could sleep her way to the top. She is pretty and sleeps with the Executive Producer. It’s just sickening. And they say to you, this movie is meant for the market and the cinema. It is not for film festival, just do it anyhow because this is for inside the market. That goes to show there are no standards. It is pathetic."

The Think Oyo Initiative Awards 30 Young Nation Builders under 30 at its Awards event in Lagos!

All roads led to the Civic center, Lagos as people gathered to witness  excellence rewarded at the Think Oyo Thirty Under 30 Awards on Friday 20th December 2013.

The maiden edition saw ten people from a larger pool of hundreds of nominations across 10 categories honoured. The categories were Advocacy, Creative Arts, Education, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, Fashion, Innovation & Technology, Media, Public Service and Sports. The Think Oyo 30 Under 30 Awards had 3 stages; the nomination stage, the verification & the short-listing stage and the voting stage which climaxed the process.

He also talks about what the fans of Afrobeat music will expect at this year’s Felabration among other issues.

We learnt that Rita Marley will be headlining this year’s Felabration. Why is she not here today?

She sent a message few days ago that she was not feeling fine, and might not make it to the event. However, she will be represented at the festival by the head of  her foundation, Rita Marley Foundation.
